Oregon City Police: Crimes against medical marijuana growers are grossly underreported | News

KATU Reporter Adam Ghassemi is following up on a story where a trio robbed a home with a medical marijuana grow inside. The victim said the suspects ransacked the house, demanded money, and took about a pound and a half of marijuana.

The question he had for police - is this type of crime a common one?

The Oregon City Police Department says yes - these types of crimes are grossly underreported and even though medical marijuana may be legal, it can invite trouble.  In this case, there were kids involved - they were in the home when the suspects showed up.
